The ECL Certificate in Polish at the B1 level serves as proof of Polish language proficiency required for obtaining a long-term EU residence permit.
The ECL Certificate in Polish at the B2 level is a document confirming proficiency in the Polish language for admission to degree programmes conducted in Polish at universities in Poland.
ECL exam
The ECL exam certifies general Polish language skills, focusing on topics related to personal and professional life.
It emphasizes practical communication skills and does not include a separate grammar test.
The network of exam centres comprises universities and language schools.

ECL Exam Structure
reading (35 minutes - B1, 45 minutes - B2)- writing (40 minutes - B1, 60 minutes - B2)
- listening (25-30 minutes)
- speaking (15 minutes)
Advantages of the ECL Exam
- held 3-4 times a year
- communication-oriented, with no grammar section
- short written exam duration (Reading, Writing, Listening): 100 minutes - B1, 135 minutes - B2
- use of a dictionary allowed during the Writing section
- speaking part conducted in pairs (you can choose your partner)
- opportunity to retake only the failed section in the next session without retaking the entire exam

- 560 PLN (repetition of written or oral part)

- September 27 (Saturday) – Polish, B1 Level
- 26 September (Friday) – Polish language – level B2 (closed group)

- 21 November (Friday) – Polish language – level B2
- 22 November (Saturday) – Polish language – level B1
